Empress of The Seas

She's an older boat (1990), a smaller boat (48,000 tons), but she's got character. Having been renovated and updated I was impressed with the end result.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time on her. It has three dining venues:  Main Restaurant, Buffet, and Chop's Grille (pay extra);  three lounges: Boleros, Schooner & Viking Crown Lounge, and a Casino Bar.  The lounges, though only 3, were large and spacious. Snacks and nibbles are available until the wee hours, and a coffee bar serving a mean cappuccino. The staff were all friendly and eager to please. If you are looking for a ship with lot's bells & whistles this may not be for you, but if charm and ambiance is what you're after, you will find it in the Empress of The Seas.

Great to hear!  I sailed on her to Bermuda as the Nordic Empress back in 2000 and loved it!  Was sad when she was transferred to Pullmantur and then thrilled when she was refurbished and went back to RCCL!  We are booked on a 6 day Cuba voyage, with an overnight in Havana, in November and can't wait!  From your review, it sounds like she won't disappoint.  Thanks!
