I love land tours, city destinations and especially cruises. I have been on 23 ocean cruises and 2 river cruises, one on the Nile and the other in Russia. I have traveled with friends and many times solo but I prefer to travel with a buddy to escape the single supplement. I am still working so 3 weeks is the longest trip I have ever taken. I travel 12 to 15 weeks a year and can't seem to get enough.
A little about myself:
I am educated, courteous, thoughtful, polite, well mannered, clean, and reverent. Good grief I am not a Boy Scout! Seriously I do consider myself to be a gentleman and I highly admire that quality in other men. I do not smoke or do drugs (I can't believe you even have to say that but I guess there are many guys that do use drugs), I drink socially and carry no baggage or drama. I am 6 foot tall weigh 197 and try to keep a tan all winter by traveling to warm sunny destinations.
I am searching for traveling companions to share the experience with. I am not looking for a guy that has to be with me constantly as I enjoy my quiet times alone but would enjoy a buddy that would like to share the dinning table. If we are compatible and really enjoy each others company that would also be great. I just don't like clingy guys that smother you. I met one once and he was stifling.
I am fun loving, positive, and upbeat. I have a great smile and have been told I am handsome. I enjoy meeting new people and love lively dinner conversation. That may be one reason I love cruising because I always request a large table for the dining experience.
I have cruised with Carnival, Celebrity, NCL,Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and my favorite, Princess. I do like Holland for their string trio that perform every night in a lounge but I don't like what they have done to the steam and sauna. Princess's newer ships have large steam and sauna rooms in the men's locker so they are not coed. I just got off the Grand Princess and they did have separate steam and sauna for men and women but you entered the rooms from a public pool area so it was difficult to use them naked. Yes, I have played in the steam and sauna.
I have done several back to back cruises and enjoy them as long as the next itinerary is different. That being said, I really don't care where the ship goes as the ship for me IS the cruise experience. I love long days at sea and frequently do not get off the ship at some ports. My last cruise went to Grand Turk and that port was perfect for me as they had a beautiful beach with lounge chairs and a swimming pool right at the dock and all free of charge. It was beautiful!
