    BORED TO DEATH

    GENERAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE SHIP:

The Poesia was a good value and my friend whom had sailed on MSC previously was offered a upgrade to a balcony. That was the best part of the trip. I felt the ship was very attractive. Beautiful pool areas and a lovely atrium. Clean and well kept.

WOULD YOU CRUISE THIS SHIP AGAIN:

    no

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR STATEROOM:

The stateroom was a forward balcony, A bit on the small side, but well kept by a friendly steward. The Decor was nice and was comfortable.

    HOW WERE THE PUBLIC SPACES:

The ship was clean, clean , clean! The rooms all flowed well into each other. The one lounge was a day at the zoo..it was done in all zebra. What were they thinking?

    TELL US ABOUT THE SERVICES:

The food was basic. Nothing the write home about, tough steaks and uneven service in the main dining room. Now...lets discuss the pizza and Italian specialties, they were wonderful!
I had several meals of the pizza, salad and ice cold beer. Chicken ceaser salad, another high point..

This was an oldies cruise and The Lettermen (or whats left of them) were the headliners. The ONLY good show. I was bored most of the time. Little music by the pool and a cool looking disco, uninspiring dance music and poorly attended. There was one LGBT meeting held on the 1st morning at sea. A few did attend but they were mostly couples. Nice guys though!

The cocktails were expensive as was the beer. 6.00 plus is too much for a Bud light! Some of the standard cocktails have a new twist ..so be sure to read the fine print. ex. my sour apple martini had vanilla mint schnapps in it. Yikes!

    GENERAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE SHIP:

price was great, ship was beautiful, in great condition, very nice decor, and very clean. that was the good part, here comes the bad part. food was bad very bad. the crew was very disorganized. there were so many things that went wrong, to many to even list. i blame managment or lack of it. the shows were so so at best. i would not recamend this boat for a good time, you wont fin d it there.you couldnt pay me to go back, it was that bad. if you read the reviews, half the people liked it and the other half hated it, no inbetween. the people that liked the food dont no what good food is im sure of it. you could have a better time on any other cruise line. it simply was not a fun ship.

WOULD YOU CRUISE THIS SHIP AGAIN:

    no

A great value and friendly staff

    GENERAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE SHIP:

The cruise was a great value. The ship was very attractive. The crew was constantly cleaning, especially the brass railings.

WOULD YOU CRUISE THIS SHIP AGAIN:

    yes

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR STATEROOM:

We were upgraded to a balcony. We have been on Celebrity and NCL as well. The size of the room was comparable to other cruise lines and was very comfortable. The cabin steward was excellent. The cabin was beautifully appointed.

    HOW WERE THE PUBLIC SPACES:

The public areas were comfortable and clean. There were a number of areas in the back of the ship where passengers could find private space to sit on a lounge chair and read or nap. The design of the ship made it easy to get to any venue. There were no "deadends" to interfere with walking. The design, decoration, and cleanliness of the entire ship enhanced our cruise experience.

    TELL US ABOUT THE SERVICES:

The food was good. Better than expected considering the low cost of the cruise. We enjoyed the variety of entertainment on stage, from incredible dance numbers, singers (including a night of familiar opera), circus acts, and broadway revues. In the lounges throughout the ship, first rate entertainment including bands, singers, piano players was available all the time.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The ship had loads of activities for guests even on port days.
