    Great ship

    GENERAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE SHIP:

The ship was very clean - some cosmetic damage already because people can be so careless. Other than that it was beautiful. Extremely clean!

WOULD YOU CRUISE THIS SHIP AGAIN:

    yes

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR STATEROOM:

Size of the stateroom is the norm. Nicely decorated.

    HOW WERE THE PUBLIC SPACES:

    Extremely clean.

    TELL US ABOUT THE SERVICES:

The facilities were also very clean. Great water slides and lots to do! The singers in the show and the magician absolutely stunk. However, 3 of the 4 comedians they had in the comedy club were great!!! After the terrible first show we kipped all future singing shows and the Friends of Dorothy group hung out enjoying good company and cocktails instead.

    Magic in the Mediterranean

    GENERAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE SHIP:

We sailed this ship in Europe in September 2011. The ship was new, very nicely appointed with some new Carnival upgrades/updates.

WOULD YOU CRUISE THIS SHIP AGAIN:

    yes

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR STATEROOM:

Staterooms were the standard carnival orange but were still some of the largest berths at sea. Great balcony space with 2 chairs and table.

    HOW WERE THE PUBLIC SPACES:

Public spaces well maintained and kep very clean. Great new Carnival features and upgrades bould be seen throughout.

    TELL US ABOUT THE SERVICES:

Food quality in the main dining room was okay. However the Private dining restaurant was excellent - great food and great value for the nominal $30. Also, Carnival introduced an Italian restaurant aboard this ship - worth the upcost.

Magic's inaugural season out of Barcelona

    GENERAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE SHIP:

We were on in August, 2011; their first season sailing out of Barcelona. Cheaper than other cruise lines. Ship was as I would expect any Carnival to be-- gold gilding and busy carpet; too glitzy for me. Very clean; elevators had been damaged due to bringing luggage on and off elevators designed for passengers.

WOULD YOU CRUISE THIS SHIP AGAIN:

    no

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR STATEROOM:

Very clean with ample room for clothing for 2 people for 12 days. Beds were comfortable.

    HOW WERE THE PUBLIC SPACES:

Very nice private areas; some open, unoccupied spaces not being used since on board art gallery sales have been discontinued; no more free champagne!

    TELL US ABOUT THE SERVICES:

Poor, poor service in the buffet; not enough wait staff to keep tables cleaned off; seemed overwhelmed; no glasses or coffee or cream at times. Lots of waiting for specialty prepared eggs and omelets; RCL does a much better as order is delivered to the table after prepared. Dining room waiter never got our orders correct; there were 10 of us at one table. Nice gym. Very good entertainment especially the comedians who had adult shows. No problems with Guest Relations

    Fun time

    GENERAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE SHIP:

Ship was clean, but showing signs of wear and tear. Friends of Dorothy was in the piano bar at 10pm every night. The bar was packed and made it impossible to meet other LGBT cruiser.

WOULD YOU CRUISE THIS SHIP AGAIN:

    yes

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR STATEROOM:

State room was larger then expected.

    HOW WERE THE PUBLIC SPACES:

Ship was clean but showing signs of wear and tear. Spa was amazing. Next time I will be booking on the spa level state rooms to be able use the facility more

    TELL US ABOUT THE SERVICES:

Food was average - strongly suggest the Italian speciality restaurant for not only dinner but lunch. We even took our buffet lunch up there to eat peacefully. Had an amazing bartender named AZIA! Never have been taken care of so well by bartender

Balcony Staterooms were adequate, not huge, but not cramped.
