The cruise deals are piling up. Where will you go?
Ok. Plan a cruise. In fact, plan two. The news just keeps rolling in about discounts everywhere in the travel industry–and especially in the cruise sector.
I’m not going to tell you what cruise to book (although if you want to sail with me, I’m considering the Celebrity Mercury to Alaska in August, which has a Pied Piper gay group on board).
I’m just saying: call your travel agent, check your favorite travel websites, and I think you’ll find a fantastic deal on just about any itinerary that interests you.
Of course, you can use MeetMeOnBoard’s cruise-mate finder, “See Who’s On Board.” And be sure to list your own cruise so others can find you!
Meanwhile, here’s an interesting link to a USA Today story by Gene Sloane, which pretty much sums up what’s going on–at least for Royal Caribbean Int’l. It’s worth noting that the cruise lines are starting to cry “foul,” and say they’ll only discount to a point.
