Our names are Mark and Dale. We have been in a relationship now for over 20 years. Throughout those years, many things have changed - including my waistline. It seems the one thing that has stayed consistent is our love for travel especially traveling on a cruise ship.

One of the pleasures of traveling on board a cruise ship is the opportunity to meet great people who can become even greater friends. As many of you know, the first day of a cruise vacation is spending your time figuring out where everything is located on the ship. Once you've discovered everything the ship has to offer, then it's time to find the other gay and lesbian travelers. Good luck. Due to the sheer size of these vessels, that task seems more and more difficult. Many cruise lines now offer a 'Friends of Dorothy' get together but we have found many people who we knew were gay just didn't show up to this event.

We both thought...wouldn't it be nice if there was a very simple and easy to use web site where you could post a profile and let other gay and lesbian cruisers know which ship you would be on and when you're sailing? Why not start making connections and knowing who's going to be on board before the actual cruise? From that concept, MeetMeOnBoard.com was born.
